How responding works

Apply once, free. We check photo ID, your public liability insurance certificate, two references by phone, and Gas Safe, NICEIC or OFTEC on the official register where your trade requires it. Once approved, you respond to any job in your council areas and the homeowner chooses who to hire. Free for all of 2026, no card, never pay-per-lead.

Straight answers before you apply

What does it cost a tradesperson to join NI Trades?

Nothing for all of 2026: no card, no setup fee, nothing to cancel. From January 2027 a standard listing is £30 a month and featured is £55, cancel anytime. We never charge per lead or take commission, whatever the customer pays you stays yours, and that is in our Fair Billing Pledge in writing.

What does the vetting involve?

One online application. We check photo ID, your current public liability insurance certificate, phone two references, and verify Gas Safe, NICEIC or OFTEC on the official register where your trade requires it. Every application is checked by a person, not an algorithm, and once approved your listing carries the vetted badge homeowners look for.

How do I hear about new jobs once I am listed?

Jobs posted in the council areas you cover appear on your dashboard and we notify you when one lands. You choose which to respond to, the homeowner sees your profile, reviews and credentials, and they pick who to hire. No bidding wars.

Do homeowners actually use this?

The jobs on this page are real posts from real NI homeowners, and the covered section shows how quickly vetted trades are picking them up, reviews included. Homeowners find us through our NI pricing guides and free Quote Checker, which is also where they learn to look for vetted trades.

Not ready to list yet?

Take the free NI Trade Pricing Pack, researched 2026 day rates and job benchmarks, and we will email you when a job in your patch needs covered. No listing required.
