Indicative tradesperson day rates in Northern Ireland, 2026
Indicative 2026 day-rate ranges for skilled trades in Northern Ireland, compiled from NI trade quotes. NI rates run roughly 10 to 20 per cent below the GB mainland average.
Indicative ranges for budgeting and benchmarking only; individual quotes vary with job scope, certification and location.
Methodology
Ranges are indicative, compiled in 2026 from written quotes and pricing gathered from Northern Ireland tradespeople for the NI Trades pricing guides, cross-checked against published UK day-rate datasets with the consistent NI discount (roughly 10 to 20 per cent below GB mainland averages) applied. A day rate is a sanity check, not a price: a tradesperson’s real rate is cost plus overheads plus margin, and can legitimately sit above or below these bands depending on specialism, certification and demand.
